Sporting Gijon coach Manuel Preciado revealed Jose Mourinho visited the away locker room after Real Madrid's shock home defeat on Saturday.

Sporting's 1-0 victory ended Mourinho's personal home record, which had spanned for nine years, and also virtually Real's title hopes.

Preciado revealed: "We have to thank him for his behavior. He entered the locker room to congratulate us and has shaken hands with everyone.

"I cannot fail to comment on it.

"Good luck to Real on Tuesday (against Tottenham)."
