Aston Villa new boy Matthew Lowton suggests that winning any type of match in pre-season can bode well for the Premier League campaign proper.
The West Midlands are four from four during pre-season so far, with three wins on the tour of the USA, and summer signing Lowton wants that winning mentality to continue for as long as possible as it the sign of a positive team.
"We need that winning mentality throughout the season, whether it's a friendly or a league game," he told the Birmingham Mail.
"We need to make sure that we're disappointed when we lose and elated when we win.
"The manager (Paul Lambert) has got a plan and we're buying into it, definitely."
