Italy coach Cesare Prandelli admits he wants Mario Balotelli to clean up his act.
The Manchester City striker has continued to court controversy off the pitch.
Prandelli said: "When I called him up in August, I gave him a talking to that could be summed up like this: 'I'd like people to talk about you more for what you do on the pitch than what happens off it.'
"He replied: 'I'm working on that.' But when I was told he had gone to visit a women's prison with his little brother, I thought to call him, seeing as I was also in Brescia that day.
"I called and started off with: 'Mario, are you in prison? Would you like me to visit and bring you some oranges?'
"All joking aside, the truth is that Balotelli still needs to grow up."
