Cesare Prandelli appears to be talking his way out of a job at Fiorentina after another rant following their draw with Reggina.
Before the game, Prandelli warned he could walk away at the end of the season and didn't let up last night: "Are we playing badly? When you pick up 45 points it means you have done pretty well.
"Forgetting everything we have worked for over the last four years is self-destructive. It is not an issue with the fans, as the real tifosi have always stood by us, but others have not.
"There are sections of that crowd and local media who spent 18 months criticising [Mario Alberto] Santana and jeering him, then when he is injured everyone says he is badly missed.
"The critics are schizophrenic and therefore not remotely constructive. Instead this attitude is violent, aggressive and stupid."
Prandelli announced he was giving serious consideration to his future on the Viola bench after the criticism that hit the club with their UEFA Cup exit.
"We are certainly treated with far more objectivity by the national media than the local ones, so this is why I say Florence is self-destructive.
"The Fiorentina fan ought to be proud of his squad and I don't know if he is. We all want to make that step up in quality on a sporting level, but we have to do it from a critical level too."
