Italy boss Cesare Prandelli was pleased with last night's 1-1 draw against Germany.
Giuseppe Rossi wiped out a Miroslav Klose strike to maintain Italy's 16-year unbeaten run against Germany.
"The draw is the right result, a defeat would've been unfair. We played well in a difficult arena," said Prandelli.
"We were a little more intense after the break, although in the first half we also had some good chances."
He added: "Chiellini needs to find his pace, which he will do at club level with practice. Thiago Motta is used to having a lot of the ball.
"Antonio Cassano had some interesting moves too. We are distant from this already well-drilled Germany right now, but we can keep working and close that gap to achieve great things on our journey."
