Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli admitted some relief after their dramatic penalty shootout victory over UEFA Cup opponents Everton last night.
Fiorentina held their nerve after Everton hauled back their 2-0 lead in normal time. Prandelli remarked afterwards: "It has been a particularly intense, difficult game. The boys gave everything, we were aware of their physicality, but in the two matches we honoured this game.
"(Giampaolo) Pazzini? He did well, he moved well, had a good chance. He should only play as he is now doing."
