Italy coach Cesare Prandelli says Mario Balotelli's laid-back persona is just a front.

The Manchester City striker has been heavily criticised in the Italian press after his howler against Spain.

And Prandelli concedes: "It's clear that Mario wants to prove to everyone that he has the talent his potential suggests.

"He's come to recognize and feel the responsibility of fulfilling his promise."
