Roma chief Daniele Prade has hailed the impact made by Claudio Ranieri since his arrival earlier this season.
Ranieri has Roma well established inside the top four and threatening Inter Milan's title defence.
Prade said: "Ranieri's arrival on the bench has been the turning point. Roma are doing great things. We have a great team. Our run continues.
"We conceded the second goal in the 90th minute from a penalty kick. There is a regret. But we had a strong opponent in front of us with great motivations without forgetting that Napoli are now in great athletic condition.
"Under Spalletti the team had lost self-esteem. Ranieri has been very good at involving all 22 players. The club wanted him strongly. He is a very pragmatic coach. He studies the team in a methodical way and makes it work.
"He feels like a Roman and a Romanista. He has faced this challenge in a different way. There has been a change in mentality, desire and determination."
