Gus Poyet feels Sunderland fans can make the difference in their survival battle.
While they currently remain anchored to the foot of the table, victory over fellow strugglers Cardiff could see them climb out of the drop zone.
Poyet said: "I want Sunday's game to feel like the last day of the season because it's the game that we need to win.
