Gus Poyet believes the remainder of the Premier League clubs may be starting to look over their shoulder as Sunderland get set to start a positive run.
The Uruguayan led the Black Cats to their third straight home victory on Sunday - two of which have come in the league - and suggests that teams higher up the table may start to get worried now they are beginning to find form.
When asked if the table looks a bit better after their crucial 1-0 win over Manchester City, Poyet said: "Right now, yes. Three hours ago?
"I'll tell you what, when I looked at that table, it was awful - and we were playing Manchester City.
"But that's the key. It's the feeling that you are sending to the rest above you. I would be thinking, 'They are coming'."
