Poyet insists Sunderland can stop Chelsea juggernaut

Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is convinced they're capable of ending Chelsea's unbeaten record.

Former Chelsea midfielder Poyet is relieved that the good omens rest with his side as they prepare to face the league leaders, who are without loss in 17 this season.

'We're usually on the wrong end of stats," said the Uruguayan. "We hadn't won for ages on a Monday night and we didn't beat someone for 50 years, but now we're on the right side, let me enjoy it a little bit."

And, with gusts and rain forecast for this evening, Poyet added: "It's a game I'd like to play in. We know how tough it's going to be because Jose will want to continue his run. But we'll see, if there's rain and wind it could make the game very ugly.

"It's a great chance and we're the ones with the opportunity to beat them now. Let's try to do that."
