Sunderland boss Gus Poyet explained Jermain Defoe's absence for their FA Cup defeat at Bradford City.
Defoe was absent at Bradford, with Poyet revealing the striker was suffering from a calf problem.
"He had a calf injury," Poyet said. "I didn't want to give away too much information, though.
"He has a little problem with his calf, but we don't know how long he is going to be [out]."
