Charlton boss Chris Powell lauded the biggest crowd at The Valley this season after the 3-1 win over Chesterfield. The victory was played in front of a crowd of more than 22,000, boosted by a reduction in ticket prices.
"Our crowds have been good this year and the atmosphere has been exceptional," said Powell. "But there were more fans in The Valley and I know what it's like when it's rocking, seeing the team try to win games in a good fashion and that's what we try to do.
"It's great for us to have a crowd of over 20,000 and I want them to come back and enjoy where we are now.
"It's easy to complain when things aren't going your way so while we're unbeaten I want everyone to share in it. What's happened in the last few years has gone. It's now about being positive, bright and looking forward to our future."
