Postecoglou not about to leave Brisbane Roar

A-LeaguePremiership coach Ange Postecoglou says he has no intention of leaving the Brisbane Roar.

The 2010/11 double-winning coach has recently been linked with the Melbourne Victory job which was made vacant by Ernie Merrick late last week.

But Postecoglou has made it clear that he will not depart Suncorp Stadium and his victorious squad just yet.

"There is no interest for me to just have a fleeting success of one year," Postecoglou said.

"The one undeniable fact is I don't think anyone has had a season like this.

"I really believe this is the greatest season a club side has had, in our code anyway.

"My intention is to keep building on that."

Postecoglou led the Roar to a record-breaking season in which they went undefeated for 28 matches, culminating in the breathtaking Grand Final victory over the Central Coast Mariners where Brisbane conceded two goals in extra-time before scoring twice to equalize and then prevailing in the penalty shootout.
