Postecoglou names first Socceroos squad ahead of Costa Rica friendly

Ange Postecoglou has put together his first Australian squad since taking the reins from Holger Osieck.

The former Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory manager has named a 22-man roster for the friendly with Costa Rica at Sydney's Allianz Stadium on Tuesday, November 19.

Postecoglou has lost veteran goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer, who announced his retirement earlier on Wednesday, but has called up uncapped Jeonbuk defender Alex Wilkinson.

Shandong Luneng defender Ryan McGowan and Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic return to the squad after missing the recent fixtures against France and Canada.
