Julian Posada will step down as president of the Chicago Fire at the end of 2012 it has been confirmed.
Posada joined the Fire two years ago will move into a consultant's role in 2013 as he pursues other opportunities.
He was appointed in September 2010 to oversee the Fire's day-to-day operations as well as strategic planning and overall management.
"As a core member of our front office, Julian has played an important role in steering the club on a path for success - helping to reconnect the Fire to the city of Chicago, championing a culture of service and fan experience, and building a new and seasoned management team to run the business," said Fire owner Andrew Hauptman in a statement.
"Over the past year we have invested in building a diverse and deep management team," Hauptman added.
"As we enter 2013, I know the team in place is focused and prepared for the excitement and challenges of the upcoming season."
