Portuguese starlet Edinho Junior close to Celtic move

Portuguese young gun Edinho Junior has emerged on the radar of Scottish league leaders Celtic according to recent reports.

The 17-year old Olhanense striker is set to arrive in Glasgow today ahead of signing a four-year deal worth around £500,000 and he is excited about the opportunity to play with such a big club.

"This is a big chance, a big opportunity in my life,” he said.

"I am optimistic but I will have to wait until Celtic have made their decision.

"Both my club and my family are convinced that I will be able to play in Britain.

"Celtic is a major club in the history of football and Scotland is a country for lovers of the sport."

An Olhanense spokesman added: "The deal is very advanced but still not completed.
"The player impressed Celtic in his first trial and this Monday will begin the decisive phase in Glasgow."
