John Utaka who spends his spare time away from the pitch reading the works of Charles Dickens, says he is desperate to play in next month's FA Cup final.
"It took me four or five matches to adjust. And then I had injuries," Utaka told The Mail on Sunday.
"It was sad to miss the semi-final. But I was there with the squad.
"It will be a great occasion, so it is my plan to bring a team of 11 of my family over. I need to find all the tickets for my mother and father, my two sisters, two brothers and close friends."
Pompey are also enjoying a superb campaign in The Premier League which has not surprised the 26-year-old striker.
"I hear people say I must be surprised at what has happened for Portsmouth this season, a high Premier League position and now the FA Cup final.
"I am not surprised. If you look at the players in the squad then it should surprise no one what has been achieved so far."
