Pompey striker David Nugent is hoping that Tony Adams will be the new manager of Portsmouth. Nugent certainly believes Adams is the right man to step into Harry Redknapp's shoes, as he is already accustomed to life at the South Coast club.
"It would be nice. He's been at the club for a while now, he knows the players and the staff, so if he gets the job then I'll be happy," the one-time England international told Sky Sports News.
"It didn't go too well for me under Harry, but if Tony gets the job then things might go my way.
"He has a possible chance, he's favourite now, but there's a few other managers as well so it's up to Peter Storrie to decide that - but hopefully he does get it."
