Portsmouth striker David Nugent must take a big pay-cut to join Hull City.

Tigers manager Phil Brown is keen to offer the Portsmouth and England striker the chance to rescue his top-flight career.

But the Premier League new boys will not match his current £35,000-a-week deal and are talking nearer £20,000 a week.
