Portsmouth's Croatia international ace Niko Kranjcar insists manager Harry Redknapp should be considered for the England job.

"He has an international team at Portsmouth," said Kranjcar. "It would be sad to lose him but I would be happy for him because I think he would love the job and I think he would be very good.

"He likes to play football; he likes to keep the ball.

"I also heard from Slaven Bilic and the players who played under him.

"He was one of the big reasons I came here. He has proved with his results at Pompey and West Ham that he can fill that position."
