Portsmouth striker Nwankwo Kanu is set to join former Blues teammate Sol Campbell at Notts County.
The Sunday Mirror says after becoming a free agent in the summer Kanu agreed only a new one-month deal with Portsmouth, which is due to run out in a few days' time.
Once his contract expires the Nigerian star, 33, will be able to walk out of Fratton Park and join former Pompey team mate Sol Campbell at Meadow Lane.
Kanu joined Pompey three years ago on a free transfer from West Brom, and his goal enabled the south coast club to lift the FA Cup 16 months ago for the first time in nearly 70 years.
