Portsmouth's Hreidarsson claims Stoke own goal

Hermann Hreidarsson is adamant that he should be given the credit for Portsmouth's last-gasp equaliser against Stoke which the Potters Ryan Shawcross sliced into his own net. Pompey's Icelander insists that his initial effort was on target, despite video evidence suggesting otherwise.

He told the Portsmouth News: "It's my goal all day. It was going in. No-one's going to take it off me.

"I just wanted to get in there, get forward and hope I could get something to fall for somebody, so either me or someone else could get a shot in."

Caretaker boss Paul Hart has no intention of disputing Hreidarsson's version of events.

He added: "Hermann was claiming the goal afterwards and he thinks it went straight in.

"I'm certainly not going to try to take it off him - I don't fancy arguing with him!"
