Portsmouth defender Sylvain Distin has taken a swipe at the Premiership's top four.
Distin, 30, said: "I've tried to understand the obsession which some people have with the top four but I cannot.
"If those people had their way, we would start the FA Cup from the semi-finals with only the top four involved.
"Or maybe they would stop the competition as soon as those teams are knocked out.
"But that is not what people want to see. The FA Cup is an opportunity for everyone and what has happened this year is good for all of English football."
