Portsmouth defender Sylvain Distin is angry with the way the Premiership's foreigners are being blamed for England's failure.
"England didn't fail because there are a lot of foreigners here. England have a good team but sometimes you win, sometimes you lose."
Distin does not agree with the growing number of calls for a limit on foreign players in the Premier League.
He said: "I was asked to come here, I came. I don't stop anyone taking my place who is better than me.
"The Premier League is an attraction to top players and as long as you can communicate I don't see the problem. You can come from Zimbabwe, Peru or England."
