New Portsmouth striker Jermain Defoe has hailed the influence of Lassana Diarra in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Chelsea.

The former Spurs goal ace said: "Diarra is unbelievable. He bossed midfield and he is so strong.

"I am disappointed that we only got a point because I thought we could have got all three. If we keep going like that then I think we have a chance of getting into Europe."
