Portsmouth can finish in fifth place, insists striker Jermain Defoe.

"We just want to keep our decent run going right up until the end of the season," said the England striker.

"I think that fifth place is definitely still achievable for us. Everton have got some hard games coming up where they could drop points, but we just need to concentrate on our own performances and make sure we keep picking up points.

"If we can do that then we'll just have to wait and see where we finish up, but fifth place is still there for the taking."
