Peter Crouch says his partnership with Portsmouth pal Jermain Defoe has already "clicked".
He said: "We've played together before and we seem to have clicked straight away.
"We first came together for the under-21s and I always knew when I came in it was going to work. I'm starting to feel a little sharper now and I think between us we'll get our fair share of goals.
"It was a tough start against Manchester United and Chelsea, but once they were out of the way I think it's worked very well and we play to each others' strengths. I think we'll both get a good amount of goals this season."
