Portsmouth's Crouch explains England goal celebration

Portsmouth striker Peter Crouch has explained his weird England goal celebration against Ukraine on Wednesday night.

Crouch admitted his 'rope' goal celebration was influenced by the recent Comic Relief sketch featuring the England team and James Corden.

He said: "I blame Rio (Ferdinand) for that entirely. I was quite happy doing my normal celebration but he told me to do it!

"It was a bit of fun and a bit of release and always nice to enjoy the moment. It was to do with the Comic Relief piece we all did."
