Peter Crouch was delighted with his spectacular strike in Portsmouth's victory over Stoke City.
Crouch admits he has scored few better than the opener against Stoke which left Fratton Park gasping at the technique and touch.
He said: "I scored one a bit like that for Liverpool against Galatasaray in the Champions League and it is still my best ever goal, but this one is right up there, too.
"It was very pleasant to see it fly in the back of the net.
"When the ball is pulled back like that I always get excited because I know I can score goals like that.
"As soon as the ball is behind me like that, it's the only way you can get a shot off really, unless you lay it off for someone else.
"Sometimes you try it, you fall on your backside and look stupid. but it's great when they fly in."
