Portsmouth defender Sol Campbell is excited by the prospect of winning a return to the England squad.

The 32-year-old has not started an England match since 2005 but McClaren is short on numbers in defence.

Campbell told BBC Five Live Sport: "If it comes I will take my chances.

"I have played a long time for my country. Of course I would love the chance to do it again. I will have to wait and see if it happens."
