Portsmouth's Benjani wants to crack 20 goal barrier

Portsmouth striker Benjani Mwaruwari wants to break the 20-goal barrier this season.

The Zimbabwe international made it a round dozen so far with his hat-trick against doomed Derby on Saturday.

And after his second triple of the campaign, he was forced to reconsider his pre-season mark of 15 strikes.

Benjani, who bagged his other hat-trick in the 7-4 thriller with Reading, said: "At the start of the season I wanted 10 or 15.

"Now I have 12 I think there is enough time for me to get 20."

The ace, who joined Pompey for £4.4million from Auxerre in January 2006, added: "I scored 16 in a season in France and 19 in South Africa but to get 20 in the Premier League would be fantastic."
