Portsmouth's promising defender Joel Ward is out for up to eight weeks after damaging his ankle ligaments.

The 19-year-old, who is spending the season on loan at Bournemouth, was stretchered off during their 1-0 win over Shrewsbury Town at the weekend after falling awkwardly following an aerial challenge.
