Portsmouth are wrapping up the £7 million signing of Tottenham midfielder Giovani dos Santos.

The Mexican attacking midfielder, 19, was a £4.7m summer buy from Barcelona but has made only 10 goalless appearances for Spurs.

Former boss Juande Ramos saw Giovani as a great young hope but he failed to impress and was regarded as too lightweight.

Pompey boss Tony Adams is desperate for reinforcements and swooped for him after seeing Lassana Diarra, Sulley Muntari and Jermain Defoe leave.
