Cardiff City striker Ross McCormack will not be moving to Premiership Portsmouth, WalesOnline reports. Pompey had been in contact with Bluebirds chairman Peter Ridsdale to check on the Scottish international's availability and his asking price.

Cardiff are prepared to allow the 22 year old the move he wants for a fee of around £5m.

However, Pompey boss Paul Hart has now decided against signing McCormack and will not be making an offer for his services.
