Portsmouth will play to win tonight at Wolfsburg, says midfielder Niko Kranjcar.

Ahead of their UEFA Cup showdown, the Croatia international said: "I don't think we can play for a draw. If you look over the past couple of weeks you can see that.

"For the neutral it is great, but for us it can be tough. If my mathematics are right, if Heerenveen win against Braga we can even lose in Wolfsburg and win our final game and go through.

"Obviously there are a lot of calculations but we should be concentrating on the match. I think we have to go out there and play our best football. We'll see what happens after that.

"The win against Blackburn was great. It was our first since Sunderland and important because it's something we can build on. Hopefully we can get a couple of wins on the back of that - starting with Wolfsburg."
