Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is making a surprise move to take Bobby Zamora on loan from West Ham for the rest of the season.

Redknapp has asked Hammers to give him Zamora - with the possibility of a permanent deal - as he looks to boost his goal power.

The Pompey chief has turned to Zamora after missing out on a deal for Jermain Defoe, with Tottenham reluctant to sell him at Redknapp's price and the striker looking for a 'big' club.
