Portsmouth are set to welcome back Chelsea fullback Glen Johnson.
Johnson, 23, spent last season on loan at Fratton Park and made 26 appearances.
He now finds himself further down the Chelsea pecking order after the £3.5m arrival of Juliano Belletti last week.
Portsmouth chief-executive Peter Storrie met Johnson yesterday and he is expected on the South Coast this morning to train with his new club.
Pompey fought off a late approach from Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce, who wanted Johnson to cover for long-term injury victim Peter Ramage.
