Portsmouth want to keep hold of West Bromwich Albion pair George Thorne and Joe Mattock.

Portsmouth hope to extend the loans of West Brom left-back Mattock and midfielder Thorne to the end of the season.

They're due back at Albion on Jan 2, but Pompey boss Michael Appleton wants to thrash out an extension.

He said: "I think they knew from day one that we'd like to keep them longer."
