Portsmouth are waiting for a response from Sevilla over their bid for striker Fredi Kanoute.

"I want a couple more because we still only have a squad of around twenty players," said Pompey boss Harry Redknapp.

"We made an offer for Fredi Kanoute, who has had a great season in La Liga, but I don't think we'll be able to prise him from Seville.

"But I think Kanu will re-sign with us after Peter Storrie talked with him about a deal."
