Underfire Mexico coach Sven Goran Eriksson admits a return to England could be on.

After defeat to the USA yesterday, Eriksson is facing the sack and knows Portsmouth are waiting to welcome him to Fratton Park.

Eriksson said: "The Premier League is of course a possibility in the future, if they still want me.

"Anything is possible, but as things are in today's football I've stopped making plans for the future. Life goes up and down fast in this sport, tomorrow you suddenly don't have a job, the day after you have a super job. I'm happy where I am and I hope to take Mexico to the World Cup.

"I don't mind being linked to jobs as good as Chelsea and Portsmouth. It would have been worse if my name never was linked to clubs looking for managers."
