Portsmouth have reignited negotiations with Real Mallorca for winger Jonas Gutierrez.

AS says Mallorca coach Gregorio Manzano has left Jonas out of his squad for today's game at Real Madrid due to the fresh interest from Pompey.

Mallorca have denied reports that Jonas' agents have demanded he be left out until the winter market to avoid injury, but the player's Dad and his agent will meet with the club's sports director Nando Pons this week to discuss Pompey's new approach.

Jonas remains in co-ownership between Mallorca and Argentina's Velez Sarsfield.
