Portsmouth travel to Spain for re-arranged friendly

Portsmouth will travel to Real Betis to play their rearranged friendly next week. The original pre-season match had to be postponed in July after the Pompey squad were delayed on their way back from their tour of the USA.

So Pompey will now travel to the Estadio Benito Villamarin to fulfil the fixture next Wednesday August 31.

Pompey chief executive David Lampitt said: "We are delighted to be visiting Real Betis next week.

"It was unfortunate that our previously-arranged match had to be cancelled, so to have the opportunity to extend the hand of friendship and play them is fantastic."
