Portsmouth target Pele ready to quit France

Le Mans goalkeeper Yoann Pele says he'll quit France when his contract expires in June.

The France squad member has been heavily linked with a move to English club Portsmouth in the January transfer window, but is expected to remain at Les Manceaux until the summer.

He is unlikely, however, to sign a new contract with the Ligue 1 side.

"My preference is to go abroad because I want to experience something else but I am not going to dismiss anything. Anything is possible," he told radio station RMC.

"I will take my time to choose the best sporting solution for the next part of my career.

"I think I'll have more chance at the end of the season than I did during the last transfer window, since I will be at the end of my contract with Le Mans."
