Portsmouth are moving for Arsenal defender Kyle Bartley.

The News says Bartley is a loan target for the Blues.

Arsenal's 6ft 3in central defender also spent last season with Sheffield United, where he made 14 appearances.

The 19-year-old has gained Champions League experience with the Gunners.

He started in their 1-0 defeat to Olympiakos in the group stages last December.

Bartley started his career at Bolton before moving south, where the England under-19 international has regularly captained Arsenal's reserve side.
