Portsmouth are waiting on a deal for Modeste M'Bami.
The Mirror says managerless Pompey have offered Cameroon midfielder M'Bami a contract.
M'Bami hardly played for Marseille last season and is available on a free.
The 26-year-old is seen as a replacement for Lassana Diarra, who quit Portsmouth for Real Madrid in January.
