Portsmouth are moving to the front in the race for Sunderland striker David Nugent.
Portsmouth have matched Preston's £6million valuation and are willing to pay the England striker £10,000-a-week MORE than Sunderland.
Nugent met with Roy Keane this week and was impressed with the Sunderland boss and his vision for the future, but Harry Redknapp's Pompey have offered him a staggering £2million-a-year deal.
