Championship Portmsouth are close to agreeing a deal for Bari and Norway international striker Erik Huseklepp. The 26-year-old is set to undergo a medical on the South Coast after the Italian outfit agreed to a fee of approximately £1.5m.
It is understood the player is set to sign a three-and-a-half year deal with Pompey.
Huseklepp told Bergens Tidende: "All is not yet set but the clubs have agreed (a transfer) and I will make it over to England for a medical test within a short while."
But the forward does not think that he will be ready for Pompey's game against Bristol City on Saturday.
"That is not confirmed yet," he said.
