Portsmouth set to offer new deal to Davis

Skysports.com reports that Portsmouth are ready to offer Sean Davis a new deal at Fratton Park.

Davis has enjoyed a fine season to date with Pompey and has been instrumental in their success this term.

The former Fulham and Tottenham midfielder has just 18 months to run on his current contract after joining Portsmouth in January 2006.

A number of clubs are believed to have expressed an interest in signing Davis in the summer, but the player decided to stay on the South Coast.

Pompey boss Harry Redknapp is a big fan of Davis and is keen to ward off any suitors by securing his services on a long-term contract.
