Portsmouth are moving for Serbia international defender Dusko Tosic.
The Daily Mail says Tosic, 25, cancelled his contract with Werder Bremen before the transfer window closed and is a free agent.
If he is granted a work permit he will sign an 18-month contract.
Tosic will join Pompey this week.
